DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD
COACH
Coach Rae joined CrossFit when her gym buddy told her they were going to go try CrossFit. That was all it took, and almost 6 years later I think it safe to say she’s hooked!
Before Rae became a Level 1 coach 2 years ago, she was a competitive dancer. Her favourite CrossFit movements are pretty much anything but gymnastics movements! Her favourite CrossFit benchmarks are ‘Ship’, a hero WOD in honour of a local fallen soldier, and Chief. Tight Tush Tuesday’s are her favourite day of the week, and her favourite saying in class, whether she’s coaching or not, is ‘Try hard. Do good’.
When Raelynn isn’t in the gym, she’s a Chemical Engineer at Mosaic here in Esterhazy.

COACH
Mel decided to try her first CrossFit class after her friend had joined. Her friend had loved it so much that she thought she had to see for herself! She was one of the first new members in the new gym and has been a regular fixture since she joined 3 years ago.
Coach Mel has her Level 1 CrossFit Training and is working towards her Brand X Kids certificate. You will see a huge smile on her face anytime a workout involves a barbell, unless it’s thrusters, but does anyone really like thrusters? Her favourite workouts are no surprise, DT, a hero WOD using only a barbell, and Fight Gone Bad.
Melanie is the proud mom of 4 boys. She is a school librarian and EA at the school in Churchbridge.

COACH
In 2015, Crystal’s son was doing CrossFit, so she thought she would join him. Her legs were pretty sore after her first class that it took her a few days to recover, but it was the people and the positive vibe she felt that helped encourage her to come back.
Crystal got her CrossFit Level 1 training in 2018. Although L1 focuses on coaching adults, it is very evident that her passion lies with coaching CrossFit Kids. Coach Crystal is known to bring all kinds of interesting items into the gym for the Kids class, we aren’t sure who enjoys the classes more, the kids or Coach Crystal!
Crystal owns and operates Many Paws Boarding Kennel. Her passion for animals is very evident the moment you meet her. In fact, if you ask her what her day job is, she will respond with ‘playing with dogs’.

COACH
Arielle needed a change from her regular gym routine. She was drawn to the healthy competition of CrossFit so she took her first classes in early 2018. One year later, she travelled to Seattle to take her Level 1 training. She is currently finishing up Fitness Yoga Instructor training and looking forward to sharing her knowledge with all of the athletes!
The very technical snatch is her favourite CrossFit movement and you can find her regularly working on it in the gym. Fight Gone Bad is her favourite benchmark workout. One of Coach Arielle’s favourite things about CrossFit is the relationships that are created. The pre-WODxiety, cheering each other on, and sharing in each other’s successes, it’s all part of the community.
Arielle owns and operates Vibe Interior Decorating and will soon celebrate 10 years in business. Her love language is coffee with a side of plants, in her next life she plans to be a landscaper or gardener.

Owner and Coach
Charissa joined CrossFit in June of 2015. She initially was interested in CrossFit so she could learn how to lift weights properly, but she was immediately hooked because of the community. Charissa doesn’t come from an athletic background, but loved to see herself improve very quickly.
In May of 2016, she travelled to CrossFit Undefeated in Winnipeg and completed her Level 1 training. Since then, she has taken Olympic Lifting Level 1 and Mobility 101. Her favourite benchmark workout is Fight Gone Bad and her favourite CrossFit movements are the snatch and clean and jerks.
By trade, Charissa is a hairstylist and owns her own salon, C.Polvi Hair. Her favourite thing to do is curl up on the couch at her cabin with her dog beside her reading a historical fiction novel.

Aaron joined CrossFit in October of 2015 after Charissa dragged him to his first CrossFit class, which happened to be the benchmark workout, Cindy. He loved the competitive side of CrossFit, sometimes he wins, sometimes a teammate wins, and other times the gym wins.
In the Spring of 2016, Aaron travelled to Winnipeg to complete his Level 1 CrossFit training. He also has coached the local high school football team, the Esterhazy Warriors, since 2004.
All things gymnastics are Coach Aaron’s favourite movements, however, the burpee holds a special place in his heart. I don’t think you can find an athlete that is more excited to see the CrossFit Open workouts announced, the Polvi’s holidays are even planned around the Open so Aaron can do the workouts in his home gym. Hero workouts are another favourite for him, one being Ship, our local hometown hero, and Murph, a navy seal who fought for justice.
Aaron is an Industrial Mechanic at Mosaic Potash as well as a volunteer firefighter and Mine Rescue member. He enjoys playing rec hockey, slow pitch and golf as well as spending time out at his cabin with his wife. He hardly ever passes up a challenge and is always willing to try something new!
